Family Fun Night at Skate World! - Thursday, Feb. 5th, 6:30-8:30 pm

Saturday, January 31st, 2009

Been a while since you’ve laced up and rolled around the rink?

On Thursday, February 5th at 6:30 pm, the PTSA will hold a Family Fun Night at Skate World.

This is a win-win for everyone.  Kids have a great time, parents get much needed exercise,  and part of the proceeds go right back to the school. In fact, Skate World will give back up to 25% of the earnings if we have 50 people.  Even if we have only 10, they will give our school 20%.

So come on out and show off your moves.  It’ll be a blast!

Second Harvest Fall Food Drive Begins Monday, Nov. 3rd

Sunday, November 2nd, 2008

What can one can do? Empty Can

Starting on Monday, November 3rd, the PTSA will begin its Second Harvest Fall Food Drive. Students may bring in nutritious, non-perishable items to their 1st period class for collection.

These items will benefit families in the area whose children have been chosen for the Back Pack Program.  At the end of each week, these student receive a “back pack” full of food items to carry them through the weekend.

Consider giving at least one can..more if you are able. Last Fall, almost 1,000 lbs of food was collected.  Last Spring, nearly 1,300 lbs.  How about 1,600 for this Fall?

Show us what you’re made of Florida High!

Want to sign up to help on collection Friday at 8:30 am?  Click here.

If you have any questions, e-mail Julie Lengacher.

Carnival Time! - October 31st, 1-3 pm

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

There’s a chill in the air, and it’s time to enjoy the season with Florida High’s Annual Fall Carnival.

The PTSA will have a Sandy Candy booth this year.  Come by and see us while you’re out and about at the carnival.  Better yet, if you’d like to help out, we have one more opening for the second shift at the booth.  Click here to sign up, or contact Kasey Chapin if you have further questions.

Tickets are on sale each morning in the cafeteria and also in the elementary classrooms. There will be a ticket booth set up Friday afternoon behind the administration building. No cash will be accepted at booths, so get your tickets early.
